Bristol's new flagship museum, M Shed, has been hailed as one of the UK's most innovative and ambitious museum developments. Dedicated to telling the amazing history of the city of Bristol through the objects and stories of the people who have made the city what it is today.

The ground floor "Bristol Places" gallery focuses on the physical and dynamic city - the ways that people have shaped and experienced the city and continue to do so. The gallery features a huge 150sqm area of Floorink; our digitally printed vinyl cushion floor product. Famous landmarks in the area were pinpointed on a large scale aerial photograph to create an interactive visitor attraction. As you can see from the photographs, the printed map floor is a great focal point and gets visitors of all ages talking about their local area. It is a fun and colourful flooring solution for public spaces, yet also an educational tool with great impact.

M Shed has been nominated and short-listed for the most prestigious museum award in Europe, and deservedly so. The winner will be announced as part of the EMF 2012 Assembly in Penafiel, Portugal, from 16 to 19 May 2012.

"Located on the historic dockside, Bristol's flagship museum has been designed to retain the unique character of the former 1950s transit shed. Three galleries reveal the fascinating story of the city and its unique place in the world. From prehistoric times to the present day, explore the history of Bristol through the objects and stories of the people who made the city what it is today. See amazing film and photographs, listen to moving personal stories, encounter rare and quirky objects and add your own memories of the city through the interactive displays."
